I am a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and continue to take a keen interest in and follow the latest in town planning activities. I am also a member of the International Association for Public Participation and stay up to date with community engagement trends.
With twelve years experience as a Gold Coast City Councillor, I have assessed development applications and developed strategic town planning policy as a member of the City Planning committee.
This experience has given me a detailed understanding of the long term town planning strategy of Council, and the expectations and demands of Council’s town planning officers. This experience is valuable when providing advice to land owners and applicants on their town planning proposals, as well as in community engagement activities.
